The first Sunday of every month, Riverside offers a series of fun, educational programs for families! Several downtown locations participate, including the Riverside Metropolitan Museum, Mission Inn Museum, Riverside Art Museum, Riverside Fox Theater Foundation, Riverside Public Library, and UCR ArtsBlock.
This month, the Riverside Metropolitan Museum will celebrate trees. The museum’s program, perfect for kids, will discuss the importance of trees in our city. Riverside’s trees provide everyone with air, lower the temperature, and give many animals a habitat. Guests of the program will learn how to plant trees in our community and how to get a free tree!
This free, family-friendly event will be held on March 3rd at the Riverside Metropolitan Museum from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. First Sundays takes place every month, except in the summer. To learn more about this event and see the First Sunday events for the coming months, visit the museum website.
