Fireball Run AdventuRally to end in Riverside
Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines—and your wits—for the 2013 Fireball Run AdventuRally.
The most exciting part of the 2,500-mile race is of course the finish on the streets of Riverside, California after the long haul from Longmont, Colorado.
In addition to the race finale, Riverside will also host a grand finale parade, along with more home-stretch activities.
Fireball Run is an exciting and emotionally powerful eight-day trivia expedition and awareness campaign for America’s missing children. 40 driving teams will race across the country, solving clues and completing tasks in cities along the way. All the obstacles will be based on the host city’s points of interest, history, and culture.
With America as the game board in this life-size trivia match, teams will have to solve clues on history, science, nature, theology, pop culture, and virtually anything in relation to their geographical location. Once the location is found, they’ll have to accomplish a mission in order to score.
The race begins in Longmont, Colorado and heads through 14 checkpoint cities before reaching the final destination of Riverside. Last year’s epic race theme was “Northern Exposure,” while this year’s race will travel from the forest Northwest to the desert Southwest.
The race is streamed online and has aided in 38 missing child recoveries since 2007.
The Fireball Run AdventuRally begins on Sept. 22 and runs ends on Sept. 29 in Riverside.
Riverside is the perfect place for the race’s finish and will likely bring fans from all over the country to California’s award-winning City of Arts and Innovation.
