Prepare Your Nerves for Ghost Walk Riverside
Think you have the nerve to walk with ghosts, ghouls, and goblins in downtown Riverside? How about alone in the Dark Dreams Doorway?
As Halloween approaches in California, prepare for a local tradition, the 22nd Annual Ghost Walk Riverside.
The walk features local high school drama groups and noted community speakers, all presenting original stories to entertain and frighten both young and old audiences. There are multiple tours available, with two friendly-family options for those with children. For the more adventurous, the three other tour options will truly scare.
Each tour will begin with a special dance presentation. In addition, the Tombstone Trolley, featuring VIP guest storytellers, will be back this year to offer bonus stories to all participants.
The event runs Oct. 25-26 on Main Street in downtown Riverside. Tours will depart from the Main Street Mall.
There will also be game booths, souvenir stands, and “fun food” vendors, so come early and stay late!
A new highlight this year from the California Riverside Ballet is the Dark Dreams Doorway. If you dare, you will step into the doorway all by yourself to hear and “feel” sounds that elicit true fear.
Produced by award-winning sound designer Logan Byers, the Dark Dreams Doorway is the first attraction of its kind, best described as a haunted house in a box. The experience lasts for only thirty seconds, but you’ll be itching to get out.
Halloween in Riverside is an exciting time to test your fears, explore the imaginary, and most importantly, have fun! I encourage you to plan a tour at Ghost Walk Riverside for your friends and family.
