Riverside County firework shows
Attention Riverside: prepare the barbeques, fireworks, and all the red white and blue you own. The Fourth of July is just around the corner!
There are so many great local events to attend on Thursday as the city pays tribute to America’s independence. We decided to do some of the research legwork for you, though, and found local firework shows:
• La Sierra Park
9 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The show will display aerial fireworks shows at La Sierra Park beginning promptly at 9 p.m. The fireworks will be in sync with the KOLA 99.9 broadcast.
• Mt. Rubidoux
9 p.m. to 10 p.m.
Also in sync with the KOLA 99.9 broadcast, the Mt. Roubinoux firework show will begin at 9 p.m.
• Evergreen Memorial Historic Cemetery
5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The event should be fun for the entire family, with music by “Little on the Side,” food from In-N-Out Burger and other vendors, games, and guided tours of the Riverside founder’s resting place. Get a great seat for the 9 p.m. fireworks from Mt. Rubidoux.
There are few more options across Riverside County for some great shows:
• Stewart Park, Beaumont
5 p.m. to 10 p.m.
The pool at Stewart Park opens at noon and can cool you off until 8 p.m. Live entertainment and other festivities begin at 5 p.m., with the fireworks show at 8 p.m.
• Civic Center Park, Palm Desert
7:15 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
The festivities begin at 7:15, with the 20-minute firework display kicking off at 9 p.m. Visitors are encouraged to bring picnic dinners, blankets, and chairs to enjoy the show.
• Valley Wide Regional Park, San Jacinto
9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Enjoy fireworks, music, games, food, activities, and more.
We all enjoy the festivities of the Fourth. While you’re celebrating, please remember to take time to reflect on what American independence means to you.
