Riverside Mariachi Festival

The Riverside Mariachi Festival is scheduled for Sept. 20-21 at Fairmount Park, located at 2601 Fairmount Park in Riverside.

The event will host nationally recognized mariachi bands, including Mariachi Reyna de Los Angeles, alongside the always colorful Ballet Folklórico. Food and crafts are sure to be plentiful, reflecting the culture and diversity of this innovative Riverside festival.

The Riverside Mariachi Festival is sponsored primarily by a grant from the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians. This is the eighth year for the event.

Pre-sale tickets can be purchased through Sept. 20 at the Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department, located at 6927 Magnolia Avenue, and at all community centers in Riverside. The cost is $12.50 per ticket. Tickets can also be purchased at the event for $20 per person.

I highly recommend that you attend this local event and experience the culture, music, and fun! Mariachi bands have a way of getting everyone’s feet tapping. Combine that with salsa dancing and an excited crowd, and you have a true fiesta!
